At Apex Tool, we want you to be delighted with every addition to your collection. However, we understand that sometimes you may change your mind or an item may not arrive in the condition expected.

Our policy is compliant with UK consumer protection laws to ensure a fair and transparent process for all our customers.

1. Your Right to Cancel (Unwanted Items)

Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of receiving your goods.

  • Notification: You must notify us of your intent to return the item within this 14-day period by emailing sales@apextool.co.uk.

  • Return Window: Once you have notified us, you have a further 14 days to send the goods back to us.

  • Condition: To receive a full refund, items must be returned in new, unused, and re-sellable condition. For diecast models, this includes the original manufacturer’s box, display case, and any certificates or accessories.

    • Note: We reserve the right to make a deduction from your refund if the value of the goods has been reduced as a result of excessive handling (e.g., if the model has been removed from its plinth, played with, or if the collector's box is torn/damaged).

2. Damaged or Faulty Items

We pack our models with extreme care, but we know that mirrors, spoilers, and antennas are delicate.

  • Inspection: Please inspect your model immediately upon arrival.

  • Reporting Faults: If your item arrives damaged or develops a fault, please contact us at sales@apextool.co.uk within 30 days of receipt.

  • Evidence: To speed up the process, please attach photos of the damage (and the outer packaging if it looks crushed) to your email.

  • Resolution: We will offer a repair, replacement, or a full refund (including return postage costs) for valid claims.

3. How to Return an Item

Please do not return any items without contacting us first.

  1. Contact Us: Email sales@apextool.co.uk with your Order Number and reason for return.

  2. Pack Carefully: Diecast models are fragile. The item must be packed in a sturdy outer cardboard box with adequate padding (bubble wrap or peanuts). Do not stick shipping labels directly onto the model's display box, as this devalues the collectible.

  3. Ship It:

    • For unwanted items, you are responsible for the return shipping cost. We recommend using a tracked and insured service (like Royal Mail Tracked 48), as we cannot refund items lost or damaged in transit back to us.

    • For faulty items, we will provide a pre-paid return label or reimburse your reasonable postage costs.

4. Refunds

  • Processing Time: We will inspect returns within 2 working days of receipt.

  • Payment: Refunds will be issued to your original payment method. Please allow 3–5 working days for the funds to appear in your account, depending on your bank.

  • Shipping Costs:

    • If you return a full order (unwanted), we will refund the standard outbound delivery cost you paid to receive the item.

    • If you return only part of an order, outbound delivery costs are not refunded.

    • Return shipping costs are only refunded if the item is faulty or incorrect.

5. Exceptions

The following items are non-returnable unless faulty:

  • Gift cards.

  • Customized or personalized models.

  • Magazines or periodicals.

  • Sealed products (such as sealed blind boxes) where the protective seal has been broken.
